The first pictures of Donald Trump’s vision for Gaza have been unveiled.

The ‘Master plan’ shows futuristic skyscrapers lining the coast and new cities called ‘New Rafah’ and ‘New Gaza’.

The images were unveiled by the newly founded Board of Peace at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Jared Kushner,Trump’s son-in-law’ told the World Economic Forum that these new metropolitan areas could be built within three years.

The plan appears to show there will be 180 towers built along the sea front for ‘coastal tourism’.

In the works are also large industrial complexes spanning 25 square kilometres, which will include data centres and advanced manufacturing.

The initiative hopes to boost Gaza’s GDP to more than $10 billion (£7.5 billion),and increase average household income to more than $13,000 (£9,600).

There will also be a new port and airport,a freight rail train and a network of ring and main roads to connect Gaza’s urban centres.

The plan is broken down into six phases of development, strting in Rafah and Khan Yunis, before moving north towards Gaza City.

The goal will be to create more than 500,000 new jobs in the region across construction, agriculture and manufacturing.

Kushner, who is due to sit on the Board of Peace’s founding executive board, said: ‘In the Middle East, they build cities like this in three years. Stuff like this is very doable if we make it happen.’

‘Rafah will show [sic.] a lot of workforce housing. We think this can be done in two to three years. We have already started removing the rubble and doing some of the demolitoin.

‘New Gaza can be a hope,a destination, have a lot of industry and really be a place where people can thrive and have great employment.

‘Once this starts going,we think there should be 100% full employment and opportunity for everybody there.’

He added: ‘Our ambition is to go for something better than most people think is possible.

‘A lot of what President Trump is doing in America,we want to bring the same approach to a place like Gaza,to give these people the ability to thrive and have a good life.’

Critics have slammed the Board of Peace’s vision for Gaza as being ‘all about profits’.

Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell told Metro: ‘Trump views Gaza as a real estate development opportunity. The glitz and glamour of shiny towers is all about profits.

‘The people of Gaza will have no say. Trump’s plan makes no provision for a Palestinian state. It offers no road map to end the Israel-Palestine conflict.’

Jeremy Corbyn,co-founder of Your Party, told Metro: ‘It is utterly disgusting that Trump is using genocide as a real estate opportunity. First, the US sponsored crimes against humanity in Gaza.

‘Now,the president wants to build luxury resorts on the mass graves of Palestinians. The future of Gaza is not up to Trump. It is up to the Palestinian people.’

The presentation of the ‘Master Plan’ for Gaza came after some world leaders joined Trump on the stage for a signing ceremony for his Board of Peace.

The founding members included his political allies Argentinian President Javier Milei and Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban.

It was originally envisioned as a small group that would oversee the ceasefire in Gaza and it was given a mandate by the United Nations Security Council to do this.

Trump has since said the Board of Peace will tackle other global conflicts and encourage peace around the world.

As Chairman,Trump will reportedly have extensive executive powers to veto decisions and remove members, subject to some constraints.

Tony Blair has been picked as a member of the founding executive board, alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
